Galliera, a fashion museum
The Galliera palace also known as the City of Paris fashion museum (Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris), is a museum dedicated to fashion and its history.
Palais Galliera’s website :
Below, a glimpse around Galliera ( a 36 sec. video):

The Palais Galliera is located on the right bank of the river Seine, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, just across the street from the Palais de Tokyo and a few hundred meters from the Eiffel Tower.

The Palais Galliera was built in the 19th century.
In 1876, the Duchesse de Galliera inherited her late husband’s fortune, including a large parcel of land in the 16th arrondissement, one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Paris. In 1879, he gave the land to the city of Paris and built a museum at her expense to hold her works of arts.
It was then used by the city of Paris for temporary exhibitions.
The façade is made of cut stones in the Italian Renaissance style, inspired by a palace that the Duchess Galliera owned in Genoa.

From 1977, the Palais Galliera housed the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, with collections among the richest in the world reflecting the French fashion trends from the 18th century to the present day (100 000 pieces of clothing and accessories). Only temporary exhibitions, 2 to 3 times a year. Between every exhibition, the museum was closed to the public.
In 2019, with the support of Chanel company, the Palais Galliera started a huge renovation
Since 2021 visitors can enjoy the permanent collections tracing the history of fashion from the 18th century to the present day (located in the basement) and in addition temporary exhibitions on the ground floor.
And there is now a bookshop and a café.

The Square Galliera is located behind the Museum. It was created in the 19th century. The entrance is located Avenue Président Wilson opposite the Palais de Tokyo. The fountain in front of the museum dates from 1916
An exhibition gathering Dalida’s wardrobe, and costumes that she wore during her career took place in 2017. This was the subject of a large donation by her brother to the Palais Galliera.
Although you might not know her, Dalida was a huge star in France in the 70s and 80s. A singer who passed into legend.
