  1. Parisian: born, raised and living in Paris
  2. Third generation Parisian (actually fourth, as my great-grandmother was Parisian too).
  3. I live in the 14th arrondissement of Paris
  4. Music lover, especially fond of the piano and live concerts. I tend to avoid “Best of” compilations.
  5. English language lover (although far from bilingual, I only studied it during secondary school)
  6. Often more interested in what’s on the sidelines rather than in the mainstream.
  7. Lifelong café lover (not to be confused with coffee shops) for their ambiance, spirit, history and story
  8. I have hundreds books about Paris at home
  1. Not a fan of following or being part of a group. Or being in a group (except at concerts or festive events)
  2. I truly believe that the way you travel is a reflection of who you are.
  3. I am generally not someone who believes that “c’était mieux avant” ( = “it was better before”).
  4. I moved several times within Paris. I lived in the 14th, 15th and 17th arrondissements. I am now back in the 14th. 
  5. I am not into selfies. I’d much rather be behind the lens.
  6. Over the years, I never stopped taking photos (mainly portraits, but also architecture, and now street photography).
  7. I graduated from Sorbonne University (in the 5th arrondissement, Latin Quarter) with a Master’s degree. Actually, I have two!
  8. I worked for several years successively in  marketing, then as a teacher in the French National Education system.

  1. In general, the sidelines to the mainstream.
  2. I am quite picky about my language. I love its grammar, its spelling (including the ^ circonflexe accents!) and I’m reluctant to embrace trends that take away from the elegance of the French language.
  3. I am as picky about pastries as about my language !
  4. I currently live in the very building where I grew up and spent the first 17 years of my life.
  5. Several poster of Thelonious Monk are hanging on my wall, and one of Alex Kapranos (of Franz Ferdinand)
  6. I don’t like enjoy touristic guided tours: one of the reasons I created “Anne Jeanne in Paris”: a different way to experience Paris!
